What this site collects, and what it does not.

Effective 18 September 2026. Written in plain language on purpose — you should not need a lawyer to find out what a website is doing.

I am Kris Ostopchuck, and Fractional IT LLC is me — one person, based in the Philadelphia region. This policy covers both of my websites: www.fractionalitllc.com, where I explain what I do, and fractionalitllc.odoo.com, the portal my clients sign in to. They work differently, so I have described them separately.

The short version

I do not sell anything about you, I do not run advertising, and I do not build profiles of people. This website asks you for nothing — there is no form on it. It does use outside services that see that you visited, and one of them records how you move around the page. I have described exactly what that means below, because you should not have to take my word for it. My client portal is different: it holds real client information, because that is its job.

1 · This website

I do not ask you for anything. There is no form, no sign-up, no newsletter box and no field to type into anywhere on this site. If you want to reach me you use the contact details below, or you book a time — both deliberate acts on your part.

Three outside services are involved when a page loads.

Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers keep access logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser and operating system, and the time. That is how a website works at all.

Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. They are fetched from Google’s servers, which means Google sees your IP address when the page loads. I am naming this because it is easy to overlook and it is a real transfer of information, even though nothing is stored on your device.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use the site. This one deserves plain language rather than a euphemism.

Clarity captures a replay of your visit. It records mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, how the page was laid out on your screen, and the content of the page as it appeared to you, so the session can be played back afterwards and shown as heatmaps. It sets cookies in your browser and works out an approximate location from your IP address. Microsoft keeps recordings for about 30 days and sampled data for up to nine months.

I use it for one reason: to see whether this page is understandable — where people stop reading, and whether anyone can find the button to book a call. I do not use it to identify individual people, and there is nothing on this site to identify you with, because it asks for nothing.

How to stop it. Clarity is an ordinary third-party script. Browser tracking protection, private browsing and content blockers all block it, and blocking it does not break this site in any way. Microsoft’s privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com governs what Microsoft does with what it receives.

Booking a call uses Microsoft Bookings. That link takes you off this site to Microsoft, and whatever you enter there goes to Microsoft under their terms.

2 · The client portal

The portal at fractionalitllc.odoo.com holds real information, because clients use it to do real work.

If you send me a message through its contact form, it collects your name, company, email address, phone number and your message. That reaches me as an email and I keep it as I would any other correspondence.

If you are a client with a portal account, it holds what you would expect: your name and contact details, tickets you have raised, your invoices and payment records, the time I have recorded against your work, documents you have signed, and any knowledge articles shared privately with you. You can see all of it by signing in, because it is yours.

Cookies. The portal sets a session cookie so signing in works at all, and a language-preference cookie that lasts a year. It does not run Clarity, advertising, or any analytics tracker.

The portal software is Odoo, and Odoo hosts it on my behalf. They process that information so the service runs; they do not get to use it for their own purposes.

Sign-in is by email and password, set by you and held by the portal. It is deliberately independent of Microsoft and Google sign-in, so you can still reach your own records during an outage at one of those providers.

3 · What I do not do

I do not sell, rent or trade personal information. I do not run advertising or advertising trackers. I do not build profiles of visitors, and I do not combine what this site sees with what the portal knows. I do not use client information to train anything.

4 · How long I keep things

Business records — invoices, time records, signed documents, correspondence — I keep for as long as the engagement and ordinary business and tax obligations require. Clarity’s recordings are held by Microsoft on the schedule above. Host access logs follow my providers’ own retention schedules.

5 · Your choices

Block the analytics with your browser or an extension. Nothing on this site breaks.

If you are a client, sign in and look at what the portal holds about you, any time.

If you want to know what I have about you, or want it corrected or deleted, write to me and ask. I will tell you plainly — and if there is something I am obliged to keep, I will tell you that too, and why.

6 · Children

Nothing here is directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information about them.

7 · Changes

If this changes I will change the date at the top. If it ever changes in a way that matters to a client, I will say so directly rather than relying on you to re-read the page.
